I play piano and I use Songsterr a lot for chords. Songsterr is great, but when you click a chord label it only shows a guitar diagram. Totally fair — that is the product — but I kept wanting the piano keys too.

So I made SongsPiano. It is a Chrome extension that tacks a little piano keyboard under Songsterr’s guitar popup. Same click, same chords page, now you can see which keys to hit.

SongsPiano piano diagram under Songsterr guitar popup

Click a chord (G, D, A7, whatever) above the lyrics. Guitar diagram as usual. Piano section underneath.

Under the hood it is a Manifest V3 content script on songsterr.com. It watches for the chord popup, parses the symbol with tonal.js, and draws an SVG keyboard with the chord tones highlighted. It shows standard chord tones (E → E, G#, B) rather than trying to mirror whatever guitar voicing Songsterr picked, which felt like the right call for piano.

Not affiliated with Songsterr. Just scratching my own itch and shipping it in case it helps anyone else.

Get it

SongsPiano on the Chrome Web Store

Install it, open a Songsterr chords page, click a chord. That is the whole product.
